Santa @ Auxilium Snehalaya

Auxilium Snehalaya - Ashalayam is an Indian NGO run by the Salesians of Don Bosco, working with the street children in Calcutta, irrespective of race, religion or gender. Ashalayam means “The Homes of Hope” in Sanskrit. Ashalayam gives these children the means to build their own future, by allowing them the access to the education or to the vocational training. Auxilium Snehalaya ia missionaries' school in Dwarka, India. It is a hostel run by the sister's of Don Bosco. They are dedicated to "Girl Education" together there are 40 girls from age group 5yrs to 18yrs.

We planned for a Christmas Celebration at the Auxilium where we organised Christmas Tree Decoration competition, Cultural competition, Games and Drawing comp-craft making for the residents of Ashram.

It is not possible for me to jot in words the wonderful experience of being a Santa for a day. A chance to make them smile, a chance to make a difference to their Christmas, a chance to make a difference to their life.

Peek in to see some of my wonderful moments with them...
